About Me

A scan of my buisness card, it has my name and contact info, and a qr linking to my socials.

My introduction to crafting began the way many people did: with preschool, pom-poms, and a stick of glue. I began to consider making art for a living at the age of eight, with the creation of my first comic book, this dream continued through high school, and now, I am working to make my dreams come true!

The meaning of Creadigol

Creadigol is a word from the Welsh language, which translates to "creative", I wanted some alliteration, something short, sweet, and reflective of my Welsh culture. While I am not from Wales, my maternal great-grandparents were, and I am very close to, and take inspiration from my family. I am learning much about my culture, and this occasionally reflects itself in pieces such as "Symbols of Wales 2020".

Fibre arts and me

My introduction to fibre arts began in 2018, when I took a sewing class in high school. I fell in love. And while I don't dust off the ol' sewing maching very often, this opened the door to many different forms of craft. In 2021, I began cross-stitching from a beginners kit, then I learned how weaving works wth the help of a tutorial and a simple weaving frame. Fibre arts seem to run in my family, with my aunt doing embroidery, my mother crocheting, and my grandmother having made hundreds of crafts. (she even made my halloween costumes!) So it only seems fair that I would carry the torch.

My intro to jewelry

In 2024, I attended a women's retreat in the summer where we did a bracelet making activity, and I fell in love with helping the women attatch jump rings to their charms. However, supplies were hard to come by, and I had very little guidance. I enjoy the thrift store, and support my local one whenever I can. So when I found an unopened beginner's jewelry making kit in the craft section, I knew I had to give it a try. And it worked out wonderfully! Now, I make beaded bracelets and earrings whenever I have the supplies.

The start of Creadigol

In January of 2025, I attended my first craft show, I came up with the name within a week of the event. Said event was smaller than anticipated, but I'll never forget my first customer - a blonde with square glasses who looked at my earrings and called them cute, then paid me for a pair and a bracelet. What cemented her in my memory was her coming back and buying my only tote bag for full price after I tried reducing the price to sell, she proudly carried it around and it made me so happy. Now I'm making a website, connections, and maybe with enough events, a little pocket change.

About this website

I decided to make a website for my creations because I already had previous experience with coding a hobby site and collaborating with a friend on a website for her characters, so I decided to put my html skills to the test with this website. I've gone as far as to add basic accessibility, such as a contrasting palette, alt text, and opendyslexic font. Accessibility is important to me because I am neurodivergent and want everyone to be able to access my website, no matter what methods they use. Not only is this website an exercise in coding, its also an exercise in professionalism, communication, and basic buisness skills. I am very proud of the way this site has turned out.
